Roccacaramanico is a fraction of the Italian municipality of Sant'Eufemia a Maiella in the province of Pescara .

geography

The entire territory of the fraction lies within the boundaries of the Majella National Park . The village is about 30 km from Sulmona and about 50 km from Chieti .

history

The history of Roccacaramanico begins in 875, when the monastery of Casauria was founded, which was subordinate to the abbey. The history of the group is closely linked to that of Caramanico Terme . The name of Roccacaramanico is also derived from that of Caramanico Terme.
