Rochester is a city in the US state of Indiana . With 6414 inhabitants (2000) it is the seat of the county seat of Fulton County .

Rochester is located at latitude 41 degrees 3'43 "(41.061883) north and 86 degrees 12 '24" (86.206727) west longitude. The city has a total area of 14.7 km², of which 11.8 km² is land and 2.9 km² (19.58%) is water. Rochester's artificial lake, Lake Manitou , is created by a dam on Mill Creek. There are two golf courses in Rochester.
