Rock Kills Kid is an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles , California . Their music can be compared with bands like The Cure , Echo and the Bunnymen and U2 , but also with new bands like The Killers and Franz Ferdinand . You have already been mentioned in one of the Rolling Stone Magazine "10 Artists to Watch in 2006".

history

The story of the band begins in the late 90s, which is actually more the story of Jeff Tucker. After graduating from high school in Orange County, the music-loving teenager got so bored that he initially worked as a waiter and later ended up with various punk bands. With two friends he then recorded a demo in 2001, which was very popular with employees of the Fearless Records label , but since they did not want to play live, nothing happened afterwards.

Jeff Tucker stayed in a studio owned by Fearless and wrote songs there for the day until he finally reached 150 songs. The members change again and again until the final line-up is finally in 2005. "I have waited for this day. To feel I'm fitting in. And I have longed to feel this way. To be alive again. I came back, back to life" .- It looks like the lines are straight out of the rock Kills Kid song "Back To Life" came true for Jeff Tucker.

"Hide Away" could be downloaded for free from iTunes in April 2006. "Paralyzed" is the first single from the second album "Are You Nervous". The single "Paralyzed" is included in the soundtrack of the 2008 film Prom Night .

Rock Kills Kid are currently doing the sequel to Are You Nervous? to produce.
