Rock around Knuedler
Rock um Knuedler is an open-air concert that has been held every summer since 1991 on Place Guillaume II in Luxembourg . It is organized by the Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO) and entry is free. In addition to internationally known headliners , numerous Luxembourg bands will also be given the opportunity to perform.
history
The first edition of the festival took place on June 22, 1991 in front of 3,000 spectators. Due to its success, it became a regular event as part of the city's cultural program Summer in the City . By 1997 compilations with the participating bands were also published. Rock um Knuedler now attracts around 15,000 visitors a year. On the 3 stages (Lion Stage as main stage, Horse Stage and Clairfontaine Stage) a total of around 20 bands of different styles appear.
