Rockster

Rockster (born May 9, 1984 in Frankfurt am Main , Rödelheim as Johnny Schmitt ) is a German DJ and music producer .

Life

In 2001 Rockster started in Frankfurt am Main as a DJ in the field of hip-hop and R'n'B and in 2005 accompanied the Backstreet Boys on a tour of Germany together with Rapsoul (then under contract with Sony BMG ). In the years 2006 to 2009 further tours followed Rapsoul's side until the band broke up. Rockster then moved musically away from his hip-hop roots and expanded his DJ sets to include mixed music (also known as " mashup " or "open format"). In the end, through his mixes, he became resident DJ in the Frankfurt discos VELVET and APT. He still hangs up there today.

In 2013 the term "DJ" was deleted from his artist name because Rockster changed again as a musician. He now produces and publishes his own songs on the Poptro label (Division of efe | music). Poptro is what he calls a mixture of pop and electronic music . In the song productions he cooperates with the singer Butch Williams , for example , or the singer Paul Cless , who is known for the world hit "Suavemente" . The makers of Poptro had the greatest success with his single "How I Feel". This first single reached number 14 on the German Dance Charts and number 19 on the US Billboard Dance Charts.
