Rod Ewaliko

Rod Ewaliko (born April 18, 1954 ) is a retired American javelin thrower .

In 1977 he was fourth at the Athletics World Cup in Düsseldorf and in 1979 sixth at the Pan American Games in San Juan .

The US boycott prevented participation in the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow.

In 1981 he was again fourth at the World Athletics Cup in Montreal and in 1983 eleventh at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki .

In 1983 he became US champion. He set his personal best of 90.66 m on February 25, 1984 in Goleta .
