Rodenhof (Biebergemünd)
Rodenhof is a deserted village in the Lanzingen district of the municipality of Biebergemünd in the Main-Kinzig district in Hesse .
Geographical location
Rodenhof was one kilometer south of Lanzingen at an altitude of 194 m above sea level .
history
Rodenhof belonged to the Bieber office , a fief of Kurmainz , initially to the Counts of Rieneck . Half of the office - including Rodenhof - passed to the Lords of Hanau by inheritance in 1333 . So a condominate was created . When the County of Hanau was divided in 1458, the Hanau half of the condominium came to the County of Hanau-Münzenberg . In 1559 the Counts of Rieneck died out. Their rights reverted to Kurmainz. Rodenhof was now in a condominium shared between Kurmainz and the County of Hanau-Münzenberg, with the Hanau half still being a fiefdom of Kurmainz. In 1598 9 households are recorded for the village. Rodenhof formed a community with Lanzingen in 1633/1634 and is believed to have fallen into desolation during the Thirty Years' War .
