Rodolfo Arizaga

Rodolfo Arizaga (born July 11, 1926 in Buenos Aires , † May 12, 1985 in Escobar ) was an Argentine composer.

Arizaga studied with Alberto Williams , José Gil , Luis Gianneo and Teodoro Fuchs . In 1954 he went to Paris, where he was a student of Nadia Boulanger and studied the ondes Martenot , a monophonic electronic musical instrument, with Ginette Martenot . After his return in the mid-1950s, he introduced the instrument, for which he composed several works, to Argentine music. He also emerged as the author of musicological writings and an encyclopedia of Argentine music.
