Rodolfo Fogwill
Rodolfo Enrique Fogwill (born July 15, 1941 in Buenos Aires ; † August 21, 2010 ibid) was an Argentine sociologist and writer .

Fogwill came from a family of immigrants and was distantly related to the English writer Charles Langbridge Morgan (1894-1958).
He was the father of advertising and music video producer and director Andy Fogwill and actress Vera Fogwill .
Life
He successfully completed his studies at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (including sociology) with a doctorate . Subsequently, he was entrusted with a teaching position there; from 1966 to 1973 he took over a professorship for sociology there. In the meantime, Fogwill also worked as an advertising strategist, market analyst, editor, consultant and stock market speculator.
In addition to his sociological, purely scientific topics, Fogwill created an impressive oeuvre over the years. With his novel “Los pichiciegos” he was one of the first writers in his country to deal with the Falklands War . Fogwill often published his literary works only with Fogwill .
In September 2010, the first Fogwill title will be published in German by Rowohlt Verlag Die unterirdische Schlacht . According to Rowohlt Verlag, the work on the Falklands War is "one of the most important works of Spanish language in the last few decades". It was first published in Buenos Aires in 1983 under the title Los pichiciegos .
Rodolfo Fogwill died on August 21, 2010 at the age of 69 of lung failure as a result of cigarette smoking.
