Rodolfo Hammersley (born June 10, 1889 in Valparaíso , Chile , † date and location unknown) was a Chilean athlete .

Rodolfo Hammersley was distinguished by his diversity in athletics. In 1910 he achieved a time of 10.4 s in the 100-meter run and thus equalized the world record, which was unofficial at the time.

Hammersley was a member of the first Chilean Olympic team in 1912. At the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912 he competed in high jump and standing high jump . In the high jump he reached 1.60 m. With that he missed the final qualification and finished 28th overall. He also did not make it to the final in the standing vault. With 1.40 m he came in a shared 13th place.

In July 1918 an unofficial South American championship was held in Buenos Aires . Hammersley competed in the discus and hammer throw . He won the discus throw with 30.29 m, in the hammer throw he came second with 25.40 m.
