Rody Rijnders

Roderick Falesca Renée Trygvae "Rody" Rijnders (born March 1, 1941 in Balikpapan , today Indonesia ; † January 15, 2018 ) was a Dutch helmsman in rowing .

Rody Rijnders from the DSRV Laga rowing club in Delft won his first international medal at the European Championships in Duisburg in 1965 : together with Hadriaan van Nes and Lex Winter he received the bronze medal in two with a helmsman behind the boats from the Soviet Union and Italy. In 1967 and 1968 Rijnders drove the new two with Hadriaan van Nes and Herman Suselbeek . At the 1968 Olympic Games , the three won the silver medal behind the Italians.
