Hadriaan van Nes

Hadriaan van Nes (born August 7, 1942 in Gorinchem ) is a former Dutch rower .

The 1.92 m tall Hadriaan van Nes from the DSRV Laga rowing club in Delft won his first international medal at the European Championships in Duisburg in 1965 : together with Lex Winter and helmsman Rody Rijnders , he received the bronze medal in two with helmsman behind the boats from the Soviet Union and from Italy. At the 1966 World Championships in Bled, Hadriaan van Nees, Jan van de Graaff and Poul de Haan won the title in front of the boats from France and Italy. In 1967 and 1968 Hadriaan van Nes rowed with Herman Suselbeek and Roderick Rijnders. At the 1968 Olympic Games , the three won the silver medal behind the Italians.

Eeke van Nes , the daughter of Hadrian van Nes, won three Olympic medals in rowing in 1996 and 2000.
