Daniel Dawid Trojanowski (born July 24, 1982 in Brodnica , Poland ) is a Polish helmsman in rowing .

Career

Trojanowski began rowing in 1998. He quickly came into question as a helmsman for international competitions and already started the following year in two boat classes at the Junior World Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. With the junior eight he won a gold medal here. In 2000 Trojanowski only drove eighth at the U19 World Cup, he was able to take fifth place. After advancing to the adult class, he also won a bronze medal at the U23 world regatta in 2001.

In the 2001 season, Trojanowski established himself at the age of 19 as the helmsman of the eight in the open age group. He made the leap into the newly formed team via the Rowing World Cup and steered it at the 2001 World Championships in Lucerne, 2002 in Seville and 2003 in Milan. The team reached the B final. At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Trojanowski also drove the Polish eighth with Bogdan Zalewski , Piotr Buchalski , Rafał Hejmej , Dariusz Nowak , Wojciech Gutorski , Sebastian Kosiorek , Michał Stawowski and Mikołaj Burda . The team did not reach the final and took 8th place overall.

In the four years before the Beijing Games, the Polish eighth with helmsman Trojanowski was able to regularly place in the A-final of the World Championships. At the World Championships in Japan in 2005 , he took 5th place, the following year at the World Rowing World Championships in Eton, 6th place. Trojanowski starts for the clubs AZS Toruń and Zawisza Bydgoszcz . At a height of 1.68 m, his competition weight is 55 kg, the usual value for helmsmen.
