Frank Steinhäuser is a former German rowing athlete .

Career

Frank Steinhäuser was interested in active rowing from a young age. He therefore became a member of the Nassovia Höchst rowing club , where he was soon one of the club's top performers. His discipline within the rowing sport was the two-man with helmsman , where he took over the part of the helmsman . Because of his and his partners Wolfgang Neuss and Klaus-Günther Jordan achievements, he was soon used in national and international competitions. His team won the German championship in two with a helmsman in 1962. His team was also successful at the German rowing championships in 1963 and 1964: a gold medal in 1963 and a bronze medal in 1964. The highlight of his career as a rower was winning the 1962 World Cup and the 1963 European Championship.

For his athletic achievements, he and his team were awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on July 11, 1963 .

His club also honored him in 2012 for his 50-year membership in the Nassovia rowing club.
