Henry Fieldman (born November 25, 1988 ) is a British rower . Fieldman has been the helmsman of the British eighth since 2017 .

Career

Fieldman drove the British eighth at the U23 World Championships in 2008 to fifth place, in 2009 and 2010 he won bronze. In 2012 he finished fifth at the European Championships with eighth place . In 2013 Fieldman was also active in the eighth row in the Rowing World Cup , but Phelan Hill steered the British large boat at the international championships . At the 2014 World Championships in Amsterdam, Fieldman competed with Alan Sinclair and Scott Durant in a pair with helmsman and won the silver medal behind the New Zealanders. The following year, at the 2015 World Championships on Lac d'Aiguebelette, the British two-man with Nathaniel Reilly-O'Donnell , Matthew Tarrant and Henry Fieldman won ahead of the Germans and the Serbs. In 2016 at the 2016 World Championships near Rotterdam, Fieldman steered Oliver Cook and Callum McBrierty to win the title ahead of the Canadians.

When Phelan Hill ended his international career after winning the Olympic Games in 2016, Fieldman moved up to the British eighth. At the European Championships in 2017 , the British occupied the fifth place, four months later at the World Championships in 2017 in Sarasota, the British won the B-final and used in the full settlement seventh. Also in 2018 at the European Championships in Glasgow, the British eighth finished fifth. The 2018 World Championships in Plovdiv took place just a month and a half after the European Championships. The British eighth with James Rudkin , Alan Sinclair, Tom Ransley , Thomas George , Mohamed Sbihi , Oliver Wynne-Griffith , Matthew Tarrant, William Satch and Henry Fieldman took third place behind the Germany eighth and the Australians. In 2019 at the European Championships in Lucerne, the British eight started with Thomas Ford , James Rudkin, Thomas George, Mohamed Sbihi, Jacob Dawson , Oliver Wynne-Griffith, Matthew Tarrant, Josh Bugajski and Henry Fieldman. The British won the silver medal behind the Germany eight and ahead of the Dutch. At the world championships, the Germans won ahead of the Dutch and the British.
