Jacob Dawson

Jacob Dawson (born November 2, 1993 ) is a British rower .

Career

Jacob Dawson entered the 2017 World Cup opening event in Belgrade together with Matthew Rossiter in a two-man without a helmsman and won the regatta. At the European Championships in 2017 , the two achieved fifth place. Dawson then moved to eighth and finished seventh at the World Championships in Sarasota. In 2018 Dawson switched to the four without a helmsman . At the European Championships in Glasgow in 2018 , Thomas Ford , Jacob Dawson, Adam Neill and James Johnston won the silver medal behind the Romanians. In the same line-up, the British rowed to third place behind the Australians and Italians at the 2018 World Championships in Plovdiv. In 2019 Ford and Dawson moved to eighth. At the European Championships in Lucerne, the British eighth started with the line-up of Thomas Ford, James Rudkin , Thomas George , Mohamed Sbihi , Jacob Dawson, Oliver Wynne-Griffith , Matthew Tarrant , Josh Bugajski and Henry Fieldman . The British won the silver medal behind the Germany eight and ahead of the Dutch. At the world championships, the Germans won ahead of the Dutch and the British.
