Oliver Wynne-Griffith

Oliver Wynne-Griffith (born May 29, 1994 ) is a British rower .

Career

Wynne-Griffith began rowing at Radley College in 2007. At the Junior World Championships in 2012 he was third with eighth . In 2014 he finished sixth at the U23 World Championships with eighth and in 2016 he won the silver medal with eighth. In 2017 he drove as a substitute to the World Championships in Sarasota ; there he was used in the semifinals as a substitute for William Satch in the four without a helmsman , in the final the four with William Satch won bronze. In 2018, Wynne-Griffith moved to eighth, he finished fifth at the European Championships in Glasgow . The 2018 World Championships in Plovdiv took place just a month and a half after the European Championships. The British eighth with James Rudkin , Alan Sinclair , Tom Ransley , Thomas George , Mohamed Sbihi , Oliver Wynne-Griffith, Matthew Tarrant , William Satch and helmsman Henry Fieldman took third place behind the Germany eighth and the Australians. In 2019 at the European Championships in Lucerne, the British eight started with Thomas Ford , James Rudkin, Thomas George, Mohamed Sbihi, Jacob Dawson , Oliver Wynne-Griffith, Matthew Tarrant, Josh Bugajski and Henry Fieldman. The British won the silver medal behind the Germany eight and ahead of the Dutch. At the world championships, the Germans won ahead of the Dutch and the British.
