Patryk Radosław Brzeziński (born October 30, 1984 in Poznan , Poland ) is a former Polish rower .

Career

Brzeziński came to international rowing in 2002 by participating in double sculls at the Junior World Championships in Trakai, Lithuania. After that, he was only able to qualify for selection boats again in 2005. In addition to participating in the World Cup in the second Polish quadruple , he also started in this boat class at the junior world championships in the U23 age group and reached the A final there. From 2006 Brzeziński rowed in a belt boat , he finished fifth at the U23 World Cup with Artur Chojnowski in a double without a helmsman .

At the same time Brzeziński made the leap to the senior national team. At the 2006 World Championships in Eton, UK, he rowed in a four-man without a helmsman with other junior rowers to the C-final. In the following year, Brzeziński offered to participate in the four-without at the World Cup for the Polish top boat, the eighth , in which he was used at the World Championships in Munich. In the final, the team finished 5th. For the re-introduced European Championships in his hometown of Poznan, however, he had to go back to the four, which finished fourth.

In the 2008 Olympic season, Brzeziński made it to the national team late. The eighth was already qualified by placing at the 2007 World Championships, but the team was only nominated shortly before the games. Brzeziński, who had not played in the World Cup the previous season, was nevertheless selected for the strongest Polish team in the belt area at the Summer Olympics in Beijing. Brzeziński started for the AZS Poznań association in his hometown of Poznan. At a height of 1.95 m, his competition weight was around 77 kg.
