These include products from Aesculap AG , Karl Storz Endoskope and Welch Allyn GmbH & Co. KG. Until May 2017, the group belonged to the group parent company RMG German Holding GmbH , based in Essen. With a turnover of 120 million euros and over 350 employees in Germany, Roeser is the market leader in the field of system delivery for the healthcare sector and looks after 750 hospitals. The main shareholder has been Rosalia HealthCare AG , based in Senningerberg, Luxembourg , since 2006 .

The Roeser Group includes:

  • ROESER Medical GmbH, Essen (instrument management, project management, repairs, technical device management and IT systems).
  • HOSPIGATE GmbH, Essen (full hospital supply and contract logistics).

Another location of Roeser Medical GmbH is in Leinfelden-Echterdingen near Stuttgart through the takeover of EHS Medizintechnik GmbH in August 2013.

history

In 1918, Leonhard Hermann Josef Roeser founded a workshop for prostheses in Essen for disabled people in the First World War and later in the Second World War . From 1946 onwards, the son Reiner Roeser expanded the business to include medical technology, which initially consisted mainly of supplying hospitals with surgical instruments and their repair. His brother Leonhard Roeser was also accepted into the management and promoted orthopedic technology . In 1967 Roeser looked after up to 30 hospitals in the Ruhr area . After the company's founder died in 1979, his sons Leonhard and Reiner took over management of the company. In 1992 the grandson Jochen Roeser also joined the company and shortly afterwards took over the management. The change in the health market through the Health Structure Act (GSG) with budgeting at the hospitals led to a slump in sales. From 1995 the focus was on a service company with a focus on medical-technical device management, instrument management and supply of operating theater sets.

In order to achieve market leadership in North Rhine-Westphalia, the companies Westmed (Duisburg) and Lukas (Münster) also joined the association. In 1998 a fully automated high-bay warehouse was built in Mülheim. In 1999 the individual trading companies merged to form Roeser Medical GmbH Co. KG. In November 2004, MWB Medizintechnik in Bremen was taken over.

In July 2006, the previous managing director Jochen Roeser left the company after Rosalia HealthCare AG, Luxemburg had become the main shareholder of the Roeser Group. In December 2009 the company headquarters was relocated from Mülheim an der Ruhr to the former Nokia factory premises in Bochum .

Since December 21st, 2015 ROESER has been operating from Essen again. To this end, a new administration and logistics building was built in Essen-Kray.

On May 24, 2017, the Roeser group of companies was taken over by the private clinic group Sana Kliniken AG .

At the end of 2020, the administration site in Essen-Kray is to be closed and 140 employees laid off. Only the logistics location remains there.
