EQT Partners AB is an investment group operating mainly in northern Europe and Asia ( risk - and equity ) with the headquarters in Stockholm . It was founded in 1994 by the Swedish investor AB and is still 31% owned by them. The remaining 69% are held by the company's partners through EQT Partners BV . EQT went public on September 24, 2019 .

Company profile

EQT mainly buys or finances well-positioned medium-sized companies through its funds and tries to develop their market position sustainably; Recently, funds in the areas of infrastructure, credit, real estate and ventures were added. As of February 2018, EQT managed a total of 17 active funds; A total of EUR 38 billion in equity capital has been raised from over 400 investors, of which EUR 22 billion has so far been invested in 170 companies. There are offices with a total of 480 employees in 14 countries (including Munich and Zurich).

Examples of holdings in Germany that have already been sold are the fragrance and flavoring manufacturer Symrise , which EQT acquired in 2001 and successfully floated on the stock exchange in 2006. In 2005, MTU Friedrichshafen was taken over and listed on the stock exchange in 2007 under the name Tognum . This was the largest initial public offering at the time since Deutsche Post went public.
