Lake Rogagua ( Laguna or Lago Rogagua ) is a freshwater lake in the pampas region of northern Bolivia .
location
The lake is located in the center of the Ballivián province in the Beni department . Lake Rogagua is located at an altitude of 173 m , 45 kilometers northeast of the provincial capital Reyes and 20 kilometers northwest of the city of Santa Rosa .
size
The lake extends from southwest to northeast over a length of 21 kilometers and has a width of 9 kilometers. Its shoreline is 52 kilometers and the water surface is 155 km², making the lake one of the largest in Bolivia.
meaning
Lake Rogagua is an important freshwater reservoir for the people of the region and for the fauna that has settled there. In addition, there are regular tours for tourists to the lake from the town of Rurrenabaque in the southwest.
