Roger Crowley

Roger Crowley (born June 28, 1951 ) is a British author of historical non-fiction books in popular style.

Life

Roger Crowley comes from a seafaring family, he grew up temporarily in Malta . He studied English literature at Cambridge and lived for some time in Greece and Istanbul. In 1981 he received the Eric Gregory Award for his poetry . Crowley has authored several popular books on the naval wars and conquests of European powers in modern times since 2005. Crowley lives in Gloucestershire .
