Roger Fisbach

Roger Fisbach (* 1903 ; † 1958 ) was a French jazz musician ( alto saxophone , also clarinet ).

Fisbach worked in Berlin in the 1920s, where he led his own orchestra, with which he recorded six tracks for Vox in 1925, Charleston numbers of the time such as “Yes Sir! That's My Baby ”or“ A Kiss in the Moonlight ”. In the 1930s he lived in Paris; In 1931 he toured Latin America with Grégor et ses Grégoriens . In Paris he played next to the Grégories with Notte and His Creole Band (de da Coupole de Montparnasse), in 1933 with the Chicago Syncopators around Guy Paquinet and Michel Warlop , from 1934 in Michel Warlop's orchestra and in the big band Le Jazz du Poste Parisien around Alain Romans . From 1939 he played with Serge Glyksonand with Jacques Methehen , whose orchestra was involved in the Normandy cinema . He also recorded with Alex Renard , Christian Wagner , Hubert Rostaing , Noël Chiboust ; after the end of the war he played for Jerry Mengo in 1949 before disappearing from the music scene. In the field of jazz he was involved in 30 recording sessions between 1925 and 1949.
