Rohr is a village in the Hallertau and a district of the municipality Rohrbach in the Upper Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm . The place is mainly characterized by its farms and the cultivation of hops.
Geographical location
Rohr lies in the tertiary hill country of the Hallertau, west of the Ilm .
history
The place name Rohr is derived from the field name "Rohr" for Middle High German rör , which means a lot of Rohr or Röhricht . The place always belonged to Hofmark Rohrbach during the territorial rule .
On January 1, 1972, the municipality of Rohr with its district Rinnberg was incorporated into the municipality of Rohrbach.

- The church of St. Stephen was rebuilt in 1879 on the southern outskirts in the Ludovizian style .
