The later area of Hofmark Rohrbach was owned by the "Lords of Rohrbach" in the 9th century, who were also referred to as the "Rorbekher" family. They were first mentioned in a document for the year 1125 in Volume IX of the Monumenta Boica . At that time, “Megingax de Rohrbach” testified that it was a donation to theChecking Monastery .

The Hofmark Rohrbach was first mentioned in documents around the middle of the 15th century. It regulated all the needs of the subjects who were under the jurisdiction of the court lord, who was also the landlord . A marriage detention order is known from 1563 , which stipulated, among other things, that chair feasts and wedding feasts are to be held in the tavern . The landlord was obliged to have good wine and good beer in stock, which was to be served as “Pfaffenhofer Maß”.

With Johann, Heinrich and Moritz, the lords of Rohrbach, who gained ministerial importance as a Wittelsbach minister , died out in 1709 in the male line. In 1711 the Hofmark was acquired by Max Emanuel von Bertrand, Count of Perusa. He was followed in 1731 by Maximilian Klemens Freiherr von Dürsch auf Rohrbach, Rohr , Gambach and Langweid. His son, Rittmeister Kajetan Freiherr von Dürsch, sold Hofmark Rohrbach on January 1, 1816 to the royal finance director of the Innkreis , Alois Koch. He was ennobled in 1817 by the Bavarian King Maximilian I. Josef as "Alois Edler von Koch auf Rohrbach and Sünzhausen ".

With the reorganization of Bavaria , Hofmark Rohrbach belonged to the district court of Pfaffenhofen in the Isar district from 1803 , which was renamed Upper Bavaria in 1838 . The political municipality Rohrbach was created through the municipal edict of May 17, 1818. It was not until the revolution in Bavaria in 1848 that the privileges of the Hofmark owners were removed. The farmers were now given the opportunity to redeem and take possession of their previously leased farms.

The Hofmark Rohrbach included the places Rohr , Rinnberg, Ossenzhausen, Ottersried and six Waal farms.
