Roland Gareis

Roland Gareis (born March 15, 1948 in Vienna ) is an Austrian economist and founder of the “management by projects” approach. Until the end of September 2013 he was Professor of Project Management at the Vienna University of Economics and Business .

Roland Gareis was born on March 15, 1948 in Vienna as the son of the married couple Gunter and Erika Gareis. In his youth he was an active player at SK Rapid Vienna . He has been with Haldis Gareis, b. Ehrenfried (* 1950) married. There were two children from this marriage: Luisa Gareis (* 1982) and Lorenz Gareis (* 1985).
