Roland Knabl (born August 16, 1980 in Vienna ) is an Austrian handball player .

Career

Born in Vienna, he started playing handball at WAT Floridsdorf in his youth . His first assignment in professional handball was at UHC Stockerau , where he played with David Szlezak , among others . In 1998 Knabl moved to the handball club Fivers Margareten in his native Vienna . From 2005 he ran for the UHC Tulln . In 2007 he won the ÖHB Cup with the Lower Austrians . After the club got into financial turmoil, he switched to SG Handball West Vienna in 2008 . In 2011 he finished his medical studies and with it his handball career.
