Roland Rosset

Roland Rosset (born January 5, 1957 in Lucerne ) is a former Swiss rower .

Rosset rowed for the Stansstad Seeclub and was a member of the Swiss national rowing team in various age groups from 1975 to 1985. He is five times Swiss champion and qualified for several rowing world championships and international competitions. His greatest successes he celebrated in lightweight - double sculls with Pius Z'Rotz with the bronze medal at the 1983 World Rowing Championships in Duisburg and the victory at the International Rotseeregatta in Lucerne.

In further participation in the rowing world championships, he finished 12th in the lightweight four-man category in 1981 and 8th in the same boat class in 1982 . With his standard partner Pius Z'Rotz he later took 5th place at the World Championships in Montreal (1984); 1985 in Hazewinkel the boat retired early.

Rosset attended the Lucerne School of Business and Administration to study business administration and then worked in various areas of market research . From 2007 to 2015 he was also a board member of the Association of Swiss Market and Social Research (vsms) and its President from 2010 to 2015. In the military he held the rank of captain .
