Roland Weinert

Roland Weinert (born May 25, 1975 in Linz ) is an Austrian lawyer and civil servant .

Professional

Weinert graduated from BRG Fadingerstraße in Linz in 1993 and then briefly studied medicine, then until 2001 law at the Leopold-Franzens University in Innsbruck . He completed this course as a Mag. Iur. and then completed training as a police lawyer.

From May 2001 to September 2002 he worked in the cabinet of Vice Chancellor Susanne Riess-Passer , after which he worked as a lawyer at the police station in Vienna - Margareten until February 2005 . He then moved to the Federal Ministry for Social Security, Generations and Consumer Protection and was Deputy Head of Cabinet under Ursula Haubner from the beginning of 2005 to the end of 2006 . In the meantime he worked as a freelancer for a Styrian management consultancy.

From November 2006 to January 2018 he was head of department in the Ministry of Social Affairs, after swearing in by the Federal Government Kurz I , he briefly became head of cabinet under Vice Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache , and later he headed the presidential section. Between January 2018 and May 2019 he was also Secretary General at the Federal Ministry for Public Service and Sport.

Political

Weinert is a member and treasurer of the FPÖ local group in Breitenfurt in Lower Austria .
