Rolf-Dieter Klein

Rolf-Dieter Klein (* 1957 in Tettnang ) is a German engineer and programmer who offers services in the field of hardware and software development, simulators, 3D animation, microcontrollers and controls.

Life

Klein attended the Montfort High School in Tettnang until 1976.

In 1981 he graduated from the Technical University of Munich with a degree in electrical engineering . Klein acts as a radio amateur under the callsign DM7RDK .

Klein is the developer of the NDR-Klein-Computer and the economic simulation Ports of Call . From 1984 he moderated the television program ComputerTreff des Bayerischen Fernses, of which 26 episodes were initially broadcast on NDR television and which was continued by BR-alpha from 1998 to 2003 . He was also the co-presenter and screenwriter of the program Introduction to Microelectronics on NDR school television. He currently runs a multimedia studio in Munich and also offers software (apps) for ship simulation, for example.

Klein has developed some computer games for mobile devices. In 2014, Klein supported the crowdfunding campaign to set up the Digital Retro Park Museum for digital culture , a museum with old computers that you can touch .
