Rolf Christiansen

Rolf Christiansen (* 1957 in Dunsum ) is a German politician ( SPD ) was from 2011 to October 12, 2018 District Administrator of the district Ludwigslust-Parchim . He had previously been the district administrator of the Ludwigslust district since 1994 .

Life

In 1976 Christiansen graduated from the state high school Wyk auf Föhr . He then completed training as a paralegal in Hamburg . He also studied law and passed the 1st and 2nd state law exams. Among other things, he worked as an advisor to the SPD parliamentary group in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. From 1995 to 2007 he was a deputy member of the state constitutional court of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

Christiansen has been a member of the SPD since 1981. Since then he has held various offices within the party. From 1984 to 1991 he was chairman of the SPD local association Tangstedt, has been a member of the board of the SPD district association Hagenow-Ludwigslust since 1994 and was its chairman from 2003 to 2011. In addition, from 1997 to 2001 he was a member of the board of the SPD state association Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, and from April 2009 to April 2012 he was deputy state chairman.

From 1986 to 1991 Christiansen was a member of Tangstedt's council . During this time he was deputy mayor of the municipality from 1990 to 1991. From July 1994 to September 2011 he was district administrator for the Ludwigslust district. When this became part of the Ludwigslust-Parchim district, Christiansen became the district administrator of this new district in October 2011. Furthermore, Christiansen has been chairman of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania district council and member of the executive committee of the German district council since September 2009 . At the beginning of 2018 Christiansen announced that he would not run again in the direct election at the end of May 2018 for health reasons.

Christiansen lives in Picher , has been married since 1977 and has three children, two sons and a daughter.
