Athletic career

In the summer of 1971, 17-year-old Rolf Kaiser, who played for 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig, was appointed to the squad of the GDR junior national team. By 1972 he played eight international matches with the junior team, in which he was used as a defender and scored one goal. In the 1972/73 season he was already a member of the GDR league team 1. FC Lok Leipzig II. Of the 22 point games, he played 19 matches. With his 18 game appearances he was also part of the regular staff of the 2nd team in 1973/74, but also came on the third last match day of the league to a 45-minute assignment as a substitute for midfielder Lutz Moldt . 1974/75 Kaiser rose with the 2nd team from the GDR league and spent two seasons in the junior league team .

After 1. FC Lokomotive saw no prospects for Juretzko, he was deported to the BSG Motor Lindenau district league team , where he was active until November 1979. Subsequently, the upper division Chemistry Leipzig brought him to strengthen his squad. After first appearances in the junior league Juretzko was called up on the 20th league game day of the 1979/80 season in the first team. He came on for the injured defender Frank Mulanski and played another four league games by the end of the season. Chemistry Leipzig then rose to the GDR league. There Juretzki came in 1980/81 and 1981/82 in a total of 44 played point games to 25 missions. In 1982, Chemie Leipzig managed to return to the league, which, however, took place without Rolf Kaiser. He no longer appeared in the top football leagues.
