Rolf Reinemann

Rolf Reinemann (born April 21, 1939 in Helmstedt ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and chairman of the Seniors' Union in Lower Saxony . He was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for several terms. He was chairman of the board of trustees of the Lower Saxony State Center for Political Education for over ten years .

Life

Reinemann attended high school and secondary school. After graduating from school, he became a professional soldier in the Bundeswehr . He went through the NCO career and was deployed in France. Reinemann joined the CDU in 1965. He obtained his technical college entrance qualification in 1973 and switched to the officer's career. When he resigned in 1974, he held the rank of captain . From 1968 to 1981 he was a member of the council of the city of Helmstedt as chairman of the CDU parliamentary group and from 1988 to 1994 he was deputy chairman of the CDU regional association in Braunschweig . He chaired the CDU district association Helmstedt from 1972 to 2001. From 1991 to 1994 he was deputy district administrator of the Helmstedt district , and then from 1994 to 1996 district administrator.

From 1974 to 1994 he was a directly elected member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament for a full five terms and was a member of the Presidium of the Lower Saxony State Parliament , the Committee for Federal and European Affairs, the Social and Health Committee, the Committee for Building and Housing . He was spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group on Germany's political affairs and a deputy member of several other parliamentary committees. He was a member of the partnership of parliaments.

From 1997 to 2010 Reinemann was state chairman of the Seniors' Union in Lower Saxony and until 2010 also its deputy federal chairman.

Reinemann was also the national chairman of the Freedom Turkish-German Friendship Association HÜR-TÜRK, he is co-founder of the political educational institution in Helmstedt and deputy chairman of the advisory board of the Gymnasium am Bötschenberg in Helmstedt. He is chairman of the Ostfälisches Institut der "Deuregio", a transnational association of the districts of Helmstedt and Börde as well as the cities of Haldensleben, Helmstedt and Königslutter.

In May 2016 Reinemann was elected chairman of the Lower Saxony-Bremen state association in the social association VdK . However, he resigned in November 2016 after differences over the future strategy of the association.
