Rolf Schroedter

Rolf Schroedter (born November 20, 1947 in Kiel ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Schroedter attended school and graduated from high school in Berlin . He studied law in Göttingen and was then a trainee lawyer in Hamburg . He worked in the administration of the University of Economics and Politics in Hamburg and from 1978 was personal advisor to the Senator for Labor, Youth and Social Affairs in Hamburg and from 1981 advisor for labor market policy at the Hamburg Senate. From 1983 to 1995 he was head of the social and health department of the state capital Kiel .

Schroedter held various functions in the SPD, especially among the Young Socialists . From 1993 to 1997 he was a member of the state executive committee of the SPD Schleswig-Holstein . Various publications on socio-political issues come from him. In the state elections in 1996 he won the direct mandate in the constituency of Kiel-Nord . On May 5, 1997, he resigned his state parliament mandate, went back to Berlin and initially worked for a Europe-wide property developer and operator of senior residences. He then settled down as a lawyer specializing in the health and social economy.

In addition, he performs various voluntary activities (supervisory and executive boards) in the social economy.
