Rolf Schumacher (Mayor)

Rolf Schumacher (* 1961 ) is a municipal official ( CDU ) and full-time mayor of the municipality of Alfter in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Schumacher attended high school in Euskirchen . He did his basic military service in Ulmen and Bonn. From 1982 onwards he studied Catholic theology and later mathematics at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn . From 1984 to 1985 he continued his studies in Paris . He later worked from 1988 to 1990 as program officer for the 90th German Catholic Convention in Berlin . Then Schumacher was head of the politics department in the Central Committee of German Catholics in Bonn. In 1999 he completed his part-time doctorate as Dr. theology in Erfurt .

Rolf Schumacher has been a member of the CDU in Alfter since 1999. In 2004 he was elected to the local council. On August 30, 2009, he was elected full-time mayor of Alfter with over 52% of the votes cast .

Schumacher has lived in Witterschlick with his wife and three children since 1997 .
