Rolf Stöckel

Rolf Stöckel (born June 7, 1957 in Unna ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and humanist . From 1998 to 2009 he was a member of the German Bundestag .

Life and work

After school diploma in 1977 at the Technical School Unna heeled began in 1979 at the University of Applied Sciences Dusseldorf studying social work . In 1980 he moved to the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences , where he finished his studies in 1982 as a qualified social worker. After completing the year of professional recognition, from 1985 he worked as a social worker in the Bönen community in debt counseling.

Rolf Stöckel has three children.

Political party

After he had been a member of the Socialist Youth of Germany - Die Falken since 1973 , Stöckel joined the SPD as a student in 1975.

From 1989 to 2005 he was a member of the board of the SPD district association Unna and was district chairman from 1993 to 2005. Since 2004 he has been a member of the state executive committee of the SPD in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Stöckel had been a member of the German Bundestag since 1998 . In 1999, Stöckel joined the Berlin network within the parliamentary group . Since November 2000 he has been a member of the executive committee of the SPD parliamentary group and since April 2003 he has been the spokesman for the parliamentary group working group on distributive justice and since February 2006 of the working group on distributive justice and social integration . Since November 2005 he has also been spokesman for the North Rhine-Westphalia regional group in the SPD parliamentary group.

Rolf Stöckel has always entered the Bundestag as a directly elected member of the Unna I constituency . In the 2005 Bundestag election he received 54.8% of the first votes .

His party did not nominate him again for the 2009 Bundestag election.

Social Commitment

Rolf Stöckel was the spokesman for the board of Deutsche Kinderhilfe . From 2000 to 2004 he was also federal chairman of the Humanist Association of Germany .
