Rolf Wicker
Rolf Wicker (* 1965 in Ravensburg ) is a German sculptor .
Life
After training as a stonemason / stone sculptor in Ravensburg, he studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg from 1990 and at the Berlin-Weißensee Art Academy (KHB) from 1993 . In 1996 he was a master student of Prof. Berndt Wilde , and in 1998 he worked in New York. Wicker has received several art awards and grants.
Rolf Wicker is a freelance sculptor and guest lecturer for the subject of Artistic Basics at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art. In 2015 Wicker received a professorship for basics and sculpture at Burg Giebichenstein, Halle Art College . He is a member of the German Association of Artists .

- 2006 HAP Grieshaber scholarship from the HAP Grieshaber Foundation at the Municipal Art Museum Spendhaus Reutlingen
- 2007 Lothar Fischer Prize for Sculpture, Lothar Fischer Museum, Neumarkt id Oberpfalz
