Romain Hardy (born August 24, 1988 in Flers ) is a French cyclist .

Career

Romain Hardy was second overall at the Tour de Gironde in 2008 and he was third in the U23 road race of the French championship. The next year he was fourth in the U23 event of Liège-Bastogne-Liège and he won a stage in the Tour de la Creuse.

From 2010 to 2012 Hardy drove for the French Continental Team and later Professional Continental Team Bretagne-Schuller . At the end of the 2010 season he won a stage in the Tour de l'Avenir with the national team and in 2012 a stage in the Tour du Haut-Var .

Hardy drove for Cofidis between 2013 and 2016 and also took part in Grand Tours from 2014 . His best placings were 27th place in the Vuelta a España 2016 and 26th place in the Tour de France 2017 , the latter for Fortuneo-Oscaro . In 2017 he won the Tour du Doubs and in 2019 a stage of the Tour de Savoie Mont-Blanc .
