Roman William Cress (* 2. August 1977 in Kaben ) is a former track and field athlete of the Marshall Islands , which the Sprint specialized.

Career

At the 2006 Micronesia Games , Cress won the gold medal over 200 meters.

At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing , he started in the 100-meter run . With a time of 11.18 s, he did not get beyond the qualifying round.

Three years later, Cress was Oceania champion over 200 meters and runner-up over 100 meters.

Private

Cress's mother is from the Marshall Islands, while his father is from the United States. After his career, he directed Robbinsdale Middle School in Robbinsdale , Minnesota . His daughter Mariana is also a sprinter and competed in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro .
