Ron Kubsch

Ron Kubsch (* 1965 in Sebnitz , Saxony ) is a German theologian , missionary and author.

Live and act

Ron Kubsch grew up in Saxony on the edge of Saxon Switzerland . After his father fled to the west of the country in 1979, the family moved to Düsseldorf in 1982 . As part of a missionary work in the tea room of the EC in Düsseldorf, he discovered the Christian faith and then worked for the tea room Wegweiser until 1985 . Between 1985 and 1991 he completed a theological training to become a pastor and missionary at the New Life Seminar in Wölmersen. From 1991 to 2000 he headed the social-missionary initiative project L . From 1992 to 1998 he lived with his family in Lithuania , where he helped set up a Christian publishing house and the evangelical journal Prizme and was a lecturer at the Pedagogical University in Šiauliai between 1994 and 1996 and at the University of Vilnius in 1997/98 . From there, he completed a degree in philosophy at the Open University in Hagen between 1996 and 1998 .

Back in Germany, he completed a theology degree at the Martin Bucer Seminar in Bonn , which he completed with an M.Th. from Whitefield Theological Seminary. During this time he accompanied an assistant position and has been employed there full-time since 2002. He is the head of the study center in Munich, lecturer in apologetics and modern history of theology and vice dean since 2019.

From autumn 1999 to 2001 he was an associate member of the Mission Work Campus for Christ. From 2002 to 2015 he also worked for the Institute for Islamic Issues . From 2001 to 2006 he taught pastoral teaching at the Rhineland Theological Seminary . Since 2008 he has been the chief editor of the magazine “Belief and Thinking Today”. He is a member of the Evangelical Philosophical Society (EPS) and the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS). He is an employee of the Working Group Religious Freedom of the German Evangelical Alliance (AKREF), the International Institute for Religious Freedom (IIRF) and Deputy Chairman and Secretary General of "Evangelium21".

Ron Kubsch is married to his wife Dorothea, has three children and runs the TheoBlog . The family lives in Munich .
