Rona Jaffe

Rona Jaffe (born June 12, 1931 in Brooklyn , New York City , † December 30, 2005 in London ) was an American bestselling author.

Life

Jaffe grew up as the only child of wealthy Jewish parents on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City . She wrote 16 books, including The Best of Everything , the film adaptation of which came into German cinemas in 1959 with Joan Crawford , among others, under the title All my dreams . She published her last novel The Road Taken in 2000.

The Rona Jaffe Foundation promotes with the Rona Jaffe Writers' Award promising young writers in the United States, such as 2007, the Turkish-American author Elif Batuman .

Rona Jaffe died of cancer on December 30, 2005 in London.
