Ronald Barazon

Ronald Barazon (born February 21, 1944 in Tel Aviv , Israel ) is an Austrian journalist and was editor-in-chief of the Salzburger Nachrichten from 1995 to 2006 .

Life

Barazon attended the French Lyceum in Vienna, where he graduated from the Baccalauréat in 1961 .

From 1961 to 1977 he was press officer with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra . From 1965 to 1995 he was editor of the Salzburger Nachrichten and from 1995 to 2006 was its editor-in-chief . In addition, from 1972 he was editor-in-chief of the specialist journal “ Der Österreichische Volkswirt ”, which was discontinued in 1998. From 1997 to 2000 he moderated the ORF discussion program On the subject as well as its follow-up program Offen Said .

In mid-2006, Barazon gave up the post of editor-in-chief at the Salzburger Nachrichten; Since July 1, 2006, Manfred Perterer has been his successor. Since March 27, 2008 he has hosted the TW1 program Bei Barazon - The Business Talk , which, according to ORF, is "the weekly business forum for entrepreneurially minded people".

Today Barazon is the editor of the internet magazine Der Volkswirt .
