Ronald Burke

Ronald Burke (born 1944 in Harlan , Iowa ; † 2002 ) was an American Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Burke attended the Jesuit Creighton Prep in Omaha . He studied philosophy and Roman Catholic theology at the University of Notre Dame and Yale University .

Burke has taught at the University of Nebraska at Omaha .

In 1984, Burke signed the A Catholic Statement on Pluralism and Abortion campaign that appeared in the New York Times . Burke was co-editor of The Journal of Religion and Film .

Burke has been married since 1971 and has two children.
