Ronald Mormann (born December 9, 1966 in Oschersleben ) is a German politician ( SPD ). He has been a member of the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament since 2017 , to which he was a member from 2011 to 2016.

biography

After attending the "Wilhelm Pieck" polytechnic high school in Oschersleben, Mormann completed training as a maintenance mechanic from 1983 to 1985. A three-year service as an aircraft mechanic with the National People's Army followed. He then worked as a repair fitter in the VEB pump factory in Oschersleben. In 1989 he passed the Abitur at the engineering college in Köthen and from 1989 to 1991 he studied chemical plant engineering at the technical college in Köthen. Mormann has been an independent entrepreneur in the field of financial services since 1991. He became a partner in Falckenberg Financial Services GmbH in 1992 and has been a co-owner and member of the supervisory board of Falckenberg Financial Services AG since 1999. In 2001 he graduated from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce as a certified administrative specialist.

Mormann is volunteer as Senate President in the 1st Köthener Carnival Society KUKAKÖ 1954 e. V. He is also a member of the Association of Friends and Sponsors of the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. V. and member of the AWO district association Köthen e. V.

politics

Mormann was a member of the SED from 1985 to 1989 . He has been a member of the SPD since 1998. In 2014 he was elected chairman of the SPD district association Anhalt-Bitterfeld.

From 1999 to 2009 he was a council member of the city of Köthen and from 1999 to 2007 a member of the district council of the district of Köthen . Since the district reform of Saxony-Anhalt in 2007 , he has been a member of the district council of the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district .

In the 2011 state elections , he was elected to the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament via the SPD state list, to which he was a member until 2016. In the 6th electoral term he was a member of the Committee on Science and Economy.

Since November 3, 2017, when he replaced the resigned MP Katrin Budde on the SPD state list, he has been a member of the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament again. He is a member of the Committee for Federal and European Affairs as well as the Media and a member of the Committee for Food, Agriculture and Forestry.
