Ronald Murray Berndt

Ronald Murray Berndt (born July 14, 1916 in Adelaide , † May 2, 1990 in Perth ) was an Australian anthropologist .

Together with his wife Catherine Berndt , he worked in the Northern Territory on the Daly River . His most important works include Kunapipi (1951), Djanggawul (1952) and Man, land and myth in Northern Australia (1970), he also edited the collection of essays Aboriginal Man in Australia: Essays in Honor of Emeritus Professor AP Elkin .
