Ronnie Stanley (* 18th March 1994 in Las Vegas , Nevada ) is an American American Footballer in the National Football League (NFL). He plays for the Baltimore Ravens as an offensive tackle .

college

Stanley showed athletic talent at an early age and so he excelled in high school not only in football, but also in basketball . He attended the University of Notre Dame and played for their team, the Fighting Irish, in various positions on the offensive line of college football between 2012 and 2015 . He initially planned to take part in the 2015 NFL Draft , but ended up staying at college for another year. He played a total of 41 games, 39 of which as a starter . He has received numerous awards for his good performance and has been appointed to various selection teams.

NFL

At the NFL Draft 2016 he was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round as the 6th player and the first offensive lineman ever. Stanley received a four-year contract in the amount of fully guaranteed 20.48 million US dollars . He was able to assert himself as a professional straight away and was used in 12 games as a starting left tackle in his rookie season . He had to pause four games due to injury. In the following seasons he was also set and became a proven support in the Ravens O-Line. In 2019 he was appointed to the Pro Bowl for the first time .
