Veronika ("Ronny") Kohlbach (born January 3, 1906 ; † 1996 in Vienna ) was a successful Austrian athlete and Olympian (1936) in the 1930s .

Career

She was involved in four world records in the relay race and achieved 25 Austrian records, 11 of them in Olympic disciplines.

She started in the 100-meter run , in the 200-meter run , in the 80-meter hurdles , in the long jump , in the discus throw , in the cross-country run and in the relay race and was Austrian champion a total of 29 times between 1931 and 1938 .

In 1936 she represented Austria in Berlin at the Summer Olympics . She started over the 80 m hurdles, in the 4 × 100 m relay race and in the discus throw, where she achieved her best placement with 34.00 m and 13th place.

At the European Championships in 1938 she was fifth in the long jump (5.41 m), but started as a German citizen after the annexation of Austria (see History of Austria ).

Ronny Kohlbach belonged to the sports clubs WAC and WAF. She died in Vienna in 1996.
