Ronny Weiland (born February 25, 1975 in Jena ) is a German singer ( bass voice ) of folk music .

Life

Weiland grew up in Apolda , went to school here and already showed musical talent there. So he played the flute in the local marching band . After graduating from the Polytechnic High School , he trained as a stonemason . After having worked successfully in this profession for some time, he completed an apprenticeship as a master stonemason and stone sculptor , which he successfully completed in 2001. His examination piece can be viewed in the Dresden Frauenkirche .

From 1996 to 2000 he played the minstrel flute in the then Heeresmusikkorps 13 Erfurt . His singing career began in 2004 with an appearance at a birthday party. Since then he took singing training at the Franz Liszt University in Weimar . First solo concerts followed in 2005, others together with the Volga Cossacks . He continued his training in Erfurt with Wolfgang Schiller . That year he recorded his first CD with " Bach-Recording ". Since 2006 he has performed at festive events and also experienced first German appearances together with other folk music artists.

His greatest success was his first place in the Federal Music Competition " Superstar of folk music ". In 2008, a tour with memorial concerts for Ivan Rebroff (†) followed with his original music ensemble through several European countries. In 2009 he was ranked two weeks # 1 on the hit parade of WDR 4 .

In 2009 he performed numerous solo concerts and arrangements for events with the Alpentrio Tirol , the Star Parade in Fulda , and together with Michael Hirte for the 2009 Christmas tour .

His debut album "Russian Soul" was released by Ariola / Sony Music .
