The Roos Glacier is a steep glacier that drains the northwest slopes of Mount Murphy in Marie Byrd Land, West Antarctica, near the Walgreen Coast .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1976 after the American oceanographer Sven Edward Roos (1907-1984), who had accompanied the polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd on his first (1928-1930) and second Antarctic expedition (1933-1935).
