Roos Jonker (born December 24, 1980 in Leiden ) is a Dutch jazz singer .

Live and act

Jonker, who learned the piano and saxophone as a child, played in her first band, Hot Stuff, when she was 16. She studied jazz at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam since 1999 and did her Bachelor in 2004; In 2006 she completed her master's there. In 2007 she recorded the program The Very Best of Swing with the Glenn Miller Orchestra and from 2008 toured as lead singer with this formation, led by Wil Salden , through Germany and Austria. She also worked with Wouter Hamel . With the pop group We'll Make It Right, which includes Benny Sings and Dean Tippet, she released three albums.

In 2010 she released her debut album Mmmmm, on which she combined pop with traditional jazz. In 2010 she performed her own program at the Koh Samui Jazz Festival in Thailand.
